•  Give everyone a term as JPL.  Try not to allow two terms in a row unless no one steps up. 
• Voting ideas for patrol leader, avoiding tenting cliques, gear issues (people will have better and worse stuff - learning how to handle that is important), grubmaster how often.

• Be approachable for when things go sideways

• Know your Bible and theology - You will likely mentor adults and be mentored too
