- Derby car kits are available to purchase from the troop for $5.00 each. Purchase your kit, 1 for each participant, by registering for the Worthy Derby at our http://troop317.net site. Then, at a troop meeting, find Steven Kilgore or Clay Cooksey, let them know you've registered, and they will provide you your kit (block, wheels, and axles). If you need additional kits, or replacement parts, these are an additional $5.00. If you're in this situation, find Steven Kilgore or Clay Cooksey, at a troop meeting and pay them directly.
- We offer two types of kits - a rectangular block or a wedge block kit. The wedge block requires less cutting to form a helpful shape, but allows for less customization.
- Feel free to purchase as many car kits as you wish, but you must purchase your kit from the troop.
- NOTE: our rules state that you must use the provided wheels and axles. We unfortunately cannot manage the logistics required track and pay for separate wheels, axles, and blocks. If you lose a wheel or axle, you must purchase another kit.
- Finally, while the Worthy Derby is open to all family members, we of course, don't know everyone in your family - and we don't add them to the site. :-) Registration here is primarily to streamline check-in later by cutting down on the number of people we need to add a check-in and to know if everyone that's signed up is present. If you have another son or daughter in the troop and can't use the .NET site to register, or just want extra cars to build, we can take payment in person at the next troop meeting. Just bring $5.00 for each kit you would like to purchase.
